NIT Mizoram has established a ‘Center of Interdisciplinary Research’ to focus on the following areas –
a) Data Science
b) Computational Nanotechnology and Semiconductors
c) Smart Grid Technology
Existing B.Tech 3rd year students from any department can opt for the dual degree programmes from their 4th year (7th Semester) onwards for (a) and (b) M.Tech specialisations.
The Center has started functioning from January 2023. The Center will be coordinated and supervised by Dean(Academics)
As per NEP 2020 guidelines, a new subsidiary program at UG level as Minor in VLSI and Semiconductor Technology for existing students of B.Tech in ECE and B.Tech in CSE from 2nd year
