Welcome to the Department of Civil Engineering at National Institute of Technology, Mizoram. The Civil Engineering Department stands as a beacon of learning, providing a comprehensive four-year program that paves the way towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. Additionally, we extend an invitation to aspiring scholars for our immersive full-time Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering.

Our department also offers Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, where passionate individuals can delve deep into their chosen area of study.

Our Laboratories

Environmental Engineering Lab

Our Environmental Engineering Lab immerses students in the study of water and wastewater treatment, and environmental impact assessment. Through hands-on experiments and analyses, students develop the skills necessary to design and implement sustainable solutions for pollution control and resource management, ensuring the protection of public health and the environment in civil engineering projects.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hydraulics Lab

Our Hydraulics Lab equips students with hands-on experience in studying fluid mechanics and hydraulic systems, fostering a deep understanding of water flow, pumps, and pipe networks crucial for civil engineering projects.

Surveying Lab

The Surveying Lab provides students with the essential skills to measure, map, and analyze land, enhancing their ability to create accurate layouts and plans vital for construction, infrastructure development, and land management.

Concrete Lab

In our Concrete Lab, students gain practical expertise in mixing, testing, and analyzing concrete properties, preparing them to design and build strong and durable structures while ensuring quality control.

Geotechnical Lab

The Geotechnical Lab enables students to explore soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and geotechnical analysis, empowering them to make informed decisions about soil stability and foundation design in civil engineering projects.

Structure Lab

Our Structure Lab offers students the opportunity to investigate the behavior of various materials and structural elements, enhancing their skills in designing safe and resilient buildings and bridges for the future.
